E-mail Software - Outlook Express This setup guide allows you to
configure Outlook Express to use with Intertech Country Internet to send and
recieve mail.
Start the program Microsoft Outlook Express, then from within Outlook
Express, select the TOOLS menu, then ACCOUNTS...
In the window that appears, press the ADD button on the right hand
side, then from the list that appears, select MAIL
In this window, you need to type in your own name. This will be the name that
appears when you send an email to someone. This does not necessarily have to be
your realname, it can also be a nickname or something similar. Now press the
button labelled Next
In here, you need to type in your email address. This address can be found on
the Customer Connection Details Sheet you would have received when you first
joined Intertech Country Internet. Now press the button labelled Next
In this window you need to enter in the settings of the Intertech Country
Internet mail servers. In the top drop down box, you need to select POP3
if it is not already selected.
In the field labelled Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: you need to
enter the POP server found on your connection sheet.
In the last field labelled Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: enter the SMTP
server also found on your customer details sheet. Now press the button labelled
Next
Now you need to select Log on using: so that it has a black dot next
to it. Enter Your Username in the POP Account name: section.
Enter Your Password into the Password: section. Now press
the button labelled Next
This window allows you to set what Intertech Country Internet mail account is
called. Enter Intertech Country Internet's name into the white box. Now press
the button labelled Next
On this window, click on Connect using my local area network (LAN) so
that there is a dot next to it. Now press the button labelled Next
Press the button labelled Finish
Everything is now set up and complete. Microsoft Outlook Express should now
be able to dial into Intertech Country Internet, collect your mail and send all
your messages you have written. |
