Apple/I-Mac Technical Support Files
In order to connect an iMac to the Internet there are some configuration
settings that must be set first.
First of all you have Remote Access which stores the username,
password and phone number details.
To get to this information you need to click once on the Apple
in the top left corner, then select Control Panels, then select Remote
Access.
After selecting Remote Access you will be taken to the screen where you need
to type in your username (eg. fred@icisp.net.au ), password and
the phone number you are dialling, which were provided to you by
Intertech Country Internet.
Please ensure the you have local call access to the number you are
dialling.
Once you have entered that information, click the Options button and
then click the tab at the top called Protocols and untick the fourth box
called Connect to a command-line host:
With that information entered you can now click the OK button and the iMac is
now ready to establish a connection. |
