Mac FreePPP
FreePPP is a freeware utility that allows you to dial into the Internet,
typically known as a "dialer". Once FreePPP is installed you will have a
telephone icon next to the clock in the top right hand corner of your screen.
Click and hold this icon with your mouse and choose "FreePPP Setup"
When you open the FreePPP setup you will be presented with a screen like the
one shown below. Click the blue triangle below the FreePPP icon, next to to
"using generic modem" you will then be presented with a window that is like that
below.
Click the blue arrow shown in the the above diagram to make the window larger
and so you can see all the options available. After clicking the triangle your
FreePPP window should look like the one below.
When presented with the window above click on the Accounts tab. Select
the Untitled accounts and click Edit.
Once you have clicked "edit" you will be presented with the window below.
Fill in the boxes to match those you can see below, replacing <username>
with your own Intertech Country Internet username (eg fred@icisp.net.au ).
After filling in all the boxes under the Accounts tab you will then
need to click on the Dialup tab and fill in the dialup number for your
account. Ensure that the number you use is a local call for you. Then
click on the Options tab and fill it out as indicated below.
IP Address check "Assigned by PPP Server
This completes the dialup settings. Simply click "OK" and then click the
"CONNECT" button. |
