Windows 2000 entering modem strings

Double click on ‘My Computer’ |
Double Click on ‘Control Panel |

Double click on the ‘Phone and Modem ’ icon
|
Now click the 'Modems' tab
Next click the 'Properties' button
Now click the 'Advanced' tab
Enter the correct string for your modem
Press OK until you exit all screens
Next time you connect to the internet you'll be using a new set of
instructions contained within the string. |
