to Main Tutorial Page Do you have more than one email address and you would like to separate them so you can see which ones are being sent to your different addresses instead of them all coming into your main inbox and not being able to tell which ones are which, well you can easily setup a new folder for all of your different email addresses. Here's How......... Open Outlook Express Click on the
"Local Folders" label, right click and then select "New
Folder" now type in a name for the folder, for now we will
call it email2 (you can call it whatever you like.)
Next click on the "tools link at the top of the page, then click on the "Message Rules" name then on the "Mail" name
When the new screen pops up click on the "new" button
Now we are going to tell the program that any emails that come in for your other (2nd) email address to send the emails to the new folder you made. section 1
- Put a tick in the "Where the To line contains people"
type in your
2nd email address Any emails
coming in now will be automatically sent to the different folders. To create an email using your other email address, create a new email, click on the arrow at the end of where it says "From:" this will drop down a box where you can select the other email address.
(This can be modified to create folders for other emails you get from friends, instead of selecting "Where the To line contains people" select "Where the From line contains people") |
