Return to Main Tutorial Page When you type an email address, it’s important to be precise so that your message will reach the right recipient. An email address must have these four
parts, or it cannot be sent. The email address must always be entered without any spaces or extra characters. If even one letter or character is missing or entered incorrectly, your email will not arrive at its destination. The period (.) before the extension is required for delivery. The letters "www" denote Web site addresses, not email addresses. .com is not always the extension used in email addresses, although it is the most common. Other extensions include, .net, .net.au .org, .gov, .com.au and .edu. New ones are added frequently. Your email message can only be delivered if you have the right extension. please
